Project Superintendent

The Project
Superintendent is responsible for the on-site coordination for all phases of
commercial construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors,
materials and equipment, and ensuring that specifications are being strictly
followed, work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. This position
requires the ability to oversee scheduling, inspections, quality control and
job site safety. The project Superintendent will work with the Project
Manager, Project Engineers, Field Personnel, and other office departments to
deliver successful projects to the Owners. |

Responsibilities |
||
|
Serve
as the onsite leader for all aspects of the project |
||
|
Responsible
for jobsite safety. Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and
visitors as well as manage compliance with the established company safety
policies |
||
|
Understand,
review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturers data and
execute project based on said documentation |
||
|
Work
with the Project Manager in formulating the master construction schedule,
ensuring the proper methods and sequences are being followed, and following
through with scheduling commitments |
||
|
Complete
2- week look ahead schedules weekly, and communicate with subcontractors as
needed to ensure accuracy |
||
|
Complete
the required paperwork throughout the duration of the project to include, but
not limited too: Daily Reports, Weekly Safety Checklist Form, Toolbox Talks,
Pre-Con Checklist |
||
|
Maintain
good working relationships with all subcontractors on the project, developing
relationships within the community which enhance business opportunities, and
ensuring all subcontractor are treated fairly |
||
|
Collaborate
with all members of the project team throughout the life of the project |
||
|
Maintain
a clean and orderly jobsite from start to finish |
||
|
Active
communication with the property manager and building technicians throughout
the project |
||
|
Conduct
on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trades lead
personnel when applicable |
||
|
Assisting
in safety inspections by third party agency monthly, and providing corrective
action as needed with the reports |
||
|
Complete
project close-out with punch list identification and completion, along with
collecting updated as-builts |
||
|
Qualifications |
||
|
A
bachelors degree with a concentration in construction, engineering, or
business is strongly preferred |
||
|
in
lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable |
||
|
8-10
years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a
commercial general contractor |
||
|
Tenant
renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced
project experience all a plus |
||
|
Ability
to organize resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight
deadlines and achieve desired results |
||
|
Strong
ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally |
||
|
Strong
customer focus and the ability to work with internal and external
stakeholders |
||
|
Proficient
in the use of microsoft office, moreover the use of Excel, and Word |
||
|
Proficient
in the use of Procore construction software, as well as Redteam construction
software |
||
|
Ability
to walk or stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 50lbs |
||
|
OSHA
30 certification is preferred |
