Field Operations Manager

The Field Operations Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and oversees all field operations personnel, including Senior Superintendents, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and interns. This role is responsible for driving safety performance and culture, ensuring reporting compliance, managing project staffing and PTO, and fostering talent development through mentorship. Additionally, the Field Operations Manager ensures project quality control and operational efficiency while supporting strong customer relationships


Responsibilities

10+ years of construction experience required

In person position (70-80% of time in the field, remaining time in office)

Proficient in blueprint reading and construction supervision (experience as superintendent and/or Project Management)

Knowledge of construction industry practices, materials, methods and tools involved in construction

self-directed field manager with the ability to manage multiple employees and able to adapt to change

Ability to lead, motivate, direct and develop people as they work, identifying strengths and weaknesses of each person

Ability to set, communicate, and monitor performance standards, providing guidance and feedback to ensure achievement

The ability to collaborate with others while maintaining a positive working relationship with subcontractors, vendors, and Brookwood team members

Demonstrated ability to lead and coach field staff while fostering effective collaboration with office personnel

The ability to manage conflict and solve complex issues

Proven experience in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling construction projects.

Demonstrated commitment to maintaining and enhancing a safety-focused culture.


Technology Experience

Experience with Construction Project Management Software (i.e. Procore, Redteam, Timberline, etc.)

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience using scheduling software

Openness to adopting new technologies (e.g., drones, BIM, mobile apps) and leading digital transformation initiatives in the field.
